Bonus Speaker 1: Dr Julie McCredden, President of the Oceania Radiofrequency Scientific Advisory Association (ORSSA).

As technology advances rapidly every year, and the speed of internet improving, we have to ask ourselves, do they come at the cost of our health? Are there any invisible damages? Dr. Julie McCredden will present the health risks of microwave radiation, wifi, 4G and the latest 5G cellular technology. Not many people are aware yet, but extensive research shows these radio-frequencies can cause DNA damage leading to cancer, disrupt cell metabolism, oxidative damage, and lead to other potential diseases. We need to be conscious of these harmful effects, and learn how to minimise radiation in our everyday life and in our home.

Bonus Speaker 2: Yunan Ye, Bachelor of Biomedical Science graduate (First Class Honors)

Yunan will talk about her literature research and personal experiences regarding a WFPB lifestyle. Yunan is an aspiring fertility and reproductive health researcher, who holds a special interest in the effect of lifestyle on the health of our gametes (eggs & sperms), pregnancy, and newborn babies. Research has shown that nutrition plays a critical role in every stage of reproduction, from pre-conception fertility to the first 1000 days of a newborn. More bonus - Yunan is also a fitness enthusiast and has optimised her body composition and athletic performance by transitioning to a WFPB lifestyle. You are welcome to pick her brains on how she accomplished it within 1 year if fitness is your passion too.

Throughout the seminar, there will be time for Q&A to get the most out of your experience. Considering this is going to be an extremely information-packed day for you, we also highly recommend you note down questions to ask speakers after class should you need more in-depth discussions.

There is no doubt that this one day seminar will direct you on the right path to vitality! By investing in your health education, you could transform your own life 🙂

Dr. Julie McCredden, President of ORSSA

Julie McCredden PhD is a cognitive science researcher and educational designer. She received a BSc (mathematics and psychology double major, physics minor) from The University of Queensland (UQ) in the 1980’s. Then she did her honours training and research in human perception (visual illusions and psychophysics) at the UQ and the Queensland Institute of Technology (QIT). She then worked in research into cognitive development and human reasoning at the UQ throughout the 1990’s.

Dr. McCredden received her PhD in cognitive science (investigating neural network models of human reasoning) in 2001 from the UQ. Since that time, she has worked in both applied and theoretical settings at UQ and Griffith University, including investigating the limits to human working memory, exploring methods for helping engineering students to grasp complex concepts, and helping to introduce new technologies and pedagogy into university courses.

It was through this latter experience that Dr. McCredden became aware of the discrepancy between the promise and the delivery of technology within educational settings, and of the underlying health risks of the ubiquitous roll out of untested new technologies across university campuses.

Dr. McCredden’s current research interest is the effects of EMR on cognitive processes in children and adults. Julie also has a Masters of Counseling, combining environmental science, neuroscience and traditional psychotherapies so as to bring a holistic approach to working with adults and children suffering from cognitive effects or sensitivities due to EMFs or other environmental factors.

Yunan Ye, Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Class I Honours)

Yunan graduated with a Bachelor degree in biomedical science (Class I Honours) from the University of Queensland. She was part of a number of research projects in the field of developmental biology, including understanding brain development & disorders, and oocyte maturation (female fertility).

After being exposed to the WFPB concepts, Yunan became passionate about investigating the effects of lifestyle choices such as nutrition, on the health of human gametes, pregnancy and newborn babies.

Yunan is also a fitness enthusiast and has optimised her body composition and athletic performance by transitioning to a WFPB lifestyle.
